Delete your account

For the I'm Here app by Frontier Digital
Account deletion is immediate, irreversible, and free. All your data — email, emergency contacts, check-in history, and login records — is removed from our servers within 24 hours. There is no recovery once deleted.

Method 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

If you have I'm Here installed on your device, this is the fastest way:

  1. Open the I'm Here app
  2. Sign in with the email associated with your account
  3. Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar
  4. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
  5. Tap Delete account
  6. In the confirmation dialog, type DELETE and tap Delete forever

Your account and all associated data are removed immediately. You'll be signed out and returned to the login screen.

Method 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, can't sign in, or simply prefer not to use the app, send us an email:

Body: Include the email address you used to sign in to I'm Here. That's the only thing we need to identify your account.

We respond within 2 business days and complete deletion within 7 days of receiving your request. You'll get a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

What gets deleted

Removed permanently

  • Your email address and login records
  • Hashed one-time login codes
  • The names, emails, and phone numbers of every emergency contact you added
  • Every check-in you ever made, including the location captured at each one
  • Push notification tokens
  • Pause / resume history and settings

What we may keep, and for how long

  • Anonymized aggregated counts (e.g., "we sent N alerts in May 2026") — no per-user data, kept indefinitely for product analytics
  • Server access logs (anonymous IP + timestamp of API requests) — kept up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention, auto-purged after
  • Email delivery logs from our email provider (Resend) — kept up to 30 days by Resend per their retention policy, then auto-purged

What about emails we already sent?

Emails delivered to your emergency contacts before deletion (e.g., past missed-check-in alerts) cannot be recalled — they're already in your contacts' inboxes and outside our control. Future emails will not be sent.

Data retention period

Active account data is retained for as long as your account exists. After deletion, all per-user data is purged within 24 hours from primary storage and within 30 days from backups (which are encrypted and rotated continuously). Anonymized aggregate data is retained indefinitely; access logs and email logs follow the limits above.
